Overview Nicole Hansen has a Ph.D. in Egyptology from the University of Chicago in Egyptology and lives in Cairo. Her personal research interests are focused on connections between ancient and modern Egypt, with a particular emphasis on medicine, magic and daily life. She has extensive experience in using computer technology in the management of archaeological data and in using the internet to present Egyptology to the general public, including through courses on this Web site. With both American and Egyptian citizenship, Nicole is available as a consultant for Egyptological projects, as a public lecturer and tour organizer and as a translator of hieroglyphic texts into English and vice versa.
