Summer Savings at Glyphdoctors (Newsletter 2007-5) | |
|
Summer is here and to celebrate the Egypt-like weather that is in the air, Glyphdoctors is offering a number of discounts on courses and tours this month. You also can listen to an interview with Egyptologist Edmund Meltzer, who will be teaching Glyphdoctors upcoming Introduction to Ancient Egyptian Religion course (starting June 19 and open for enrollment) and read my Ph.D. dissertation. In this issue:
For those of you especially dedicated to learning hieroglyphs, Glyphdoctors is now offering a special price to those who sign up for all 3 units of our hieroglyphs course at once that is 20% less than the cost of the individual units. The full course covers the same material as a year-long course in a university, but you will have an entire calendar year and a half to complete Glyphdoctors' course at your own pace, so that you can fit it into your busy schedule. At our special price, knowledge of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs will be yours at a daily cost just a little more than a McDonald's hamburger, but a lot more healthy for you! Enroll now and feed your mind. Savings for Students School's out and now you have the time to devote to what really interests you-Egyptology! As a student you may be short of money, so to help students afford our courses we are offering discounts on two of our courses this summer. Students who enroll in a single unit of our hieroglyphs course will save $50 on the course price and those who join the Introduction to Ancient Egyptian Religion course will save $20. You must have been a student enrolled full time in a school or accredited university in the spring term. To take advantage of these offers, which expire June 30, please contact me directly. Discounts on Chicago Tour for Couples and Families Glyphdoctors' Nicole Hansen will be leading a tour for locals and visitors alike to three of Chicago's amazing museums with Egyptian collections on the weekend of August 4 and 5, preceded and followed up by a mini-online course that will enhance the experience. Several wives really interested in participating in the Chicago tour whose husbands sadly are not as Egyptology-obsessed as they are have emailed me asking about how they can get their husbands to join the tour. While I promise to get these unenlightened husbands hooked on Egypt during the weekend, I have decided to offer a discount to married couples to make it easier to convince a reluctant spouse to indulge with you in your passion for ancient Egypt. Married couples will be able to register for the tour for $349, a savings of $50. To make it affordable for families to attend, all children under the age of 18 accompanied by a parent or legal guardian can join us for only $149. To take advantage of these special offers, contact me directly. Otherwise, you can learn more or join the tour here.
