Glyphdoctors is proud to offer the ability to easily include transliteration fonts in posts on this site. In order to use transliteration, you need to first make sure your personal user settings are set to use the HTML editor. You don't have to know HTML to use the HTML editor, it just allows you to apply various formatting to the text you type. If you wish to receive emails from the forums with transliteration in them, you will need to choose the HTML format in your profile :

You also need to have the proper fonts installed on your computer. If you are using Windows, and you already are using the CCER's transliteration font, you are ready to start typing in transliteration. If the text below appears in transliteration, then you already have the font installed:
A a i y w b p f m n r h H x X z s S q k g t T d D
If the line above appears in Manuel de Codage rather than transliteration, you don't yet have the font installed on your computer. You may download it, unzip it, and place it in the fonts folder inside the Windows folder. Macintosh users can download a version of this font converted to Mac format, unstuff it, and place it in the fonts folder inside the system folder. You may need to restart your browser before you can use it.
To use the transliteration font in your posts, you will need to change the font selection in the upper left corner of the html editor from "Standard Font" to "Transliteration":

If you do not have a transliteration font installed on your computer, you should still select the transliteration option when writing transliteration. On computers without the transliteration font installed, this text will simply appear in Manuel de Codage format, in a different font from the rest of the post.
As for using hieroglyphs, by joining our hieroglyphs course you will get access to a hieroglyphs editor that will allow you to type hieroglyphs in your posts, without having to install any special software on your computer.
